TechnoCom's LocationAssurance Device® (LADs) test probes are a combination of hardware and software that automate in-field test call processes associated with testing, verifying and evaluating the performance of location networks.
LADs behave like standard wireless handsets in the network and may be configured for mobile or fixed operating modes. The LADs autonomously and automatically generate test calls periodically under software control from either the mobile or fixed locations. LADs are programmed over-the-air and utilize the wireless data network to deliver test event data.
LADs are location-enabled to match the technology of the location network used by the carrier. For each test call made, critical information is collected, including where the wireless network determines the LAD is located and the actual location of the LAD. To determine the precise location of the LAD during the time of the test call, each LAD uses a built-in, high-accuracy and highly-sensitive GPS receiver.
The LAD system has the capability to generate and record information for hundreds of calls each day, ensuring location accuracy from a complete set of data.
