Smarter Vehicles, Safer Roads

The Multiband Configurable Networking Unit (MCNU) is a lightweight, weatherproof wireless communications platform that is used to build IEEE 802.11 standards-compliant, broadband communication networks. The MCNU is designed to support transportation management, safety and security applications including support for Department of Transportation (DOT)/Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII).

The MCNU can be installed in a car (mobile or portable) or can be attached to infrastructure - light poles, power poles, intersection light standards, highway signs, etc. With TechnoCom's MCNU platform customers can rapidly deploy VII safety, traffic and e-commerce applications.
